Update as of June 10, 2025: Fractured Atlas has received 50 NYSCA applications and is no longer accepting new applicants. Per NYSCA's new guidelines, 50 is the maximum number of applications we can submit on behalf of fiscally sponsored projects across both the Support for Artist and Support for Sponsored Organizations opportunities. NYSCA recommends using this database to view successful awards from prior years in your discipline, and inquiring with one of those organizations regarding fiscal sponsorship for FY2026 NYSCA. The National Network of Fiscal Sponsors might also be a helpful resource. We wish you the best of luck!
If you’re a New York artist or arts organization, this page is worth screenshotting, bookmarking, silk screening onto a shirt, or wheat pasting onto your in-laws front door (“my bad, I thought you said you support the arts!”). NYSCA funding veterans already know about the secret season between spring and summer, affectionately dubbed NYSCA Season. But if you’re new to the block, fear not. From “what even is NYSCA” to “gimme that app deadline,” Fractured Atlas has you covered.
Every year, New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) accepts applications from artists and arts organizations living and working in the state of New York. At Fractured Atlas, we affectionately call this window of time NYSCA Season.
"Unincorporated groups and individuals" need a fiscal sponsor to apply for NYSCA. As your fiscal sponsor, we will submit the NYSCA application on behalf of your project. You just supply us with the materials!
